The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is proud to announce that Professor John Volakis has been inducted into the Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine of Florida (ASEMFL).
ASEMFL recognizes individuals who live or work in Florida and have achieved exceptional accomplishments with significant societal impact. Its membership also includes distinguished scholars elected to the National Academies of Science, Engineering, Medicine, and Inventors.
Dr. Volakis will be formally inducted during the Academy’s Annual Meeting on November 7–8, 2025, in Orlando. This prestigious honor reflects his decades of leadership, scholarship, and impactful contributions to engineering education and research.
