Title: Electrical engineering students win 3rd place at the IMS Student Design Competition
Date: June 18, 2019
Congratulations to Dieff Vital and Alfredo Gonzalez! The two electrical engineering students won 3rd place at the 2019 International Microwave Symposium (IMS)’s Student Design Competition. The goal of the competition is to encourage student innovation and hands-on experience. Dieff and Alfredo designed a wearable wireless device power system using affordable materials, like cardboard and paper, that is just as functional as a regular power harvester. They called it “Wearable/Frugal Microwave Energy Harvesting.”
