ECE’s Mauro Victorio Takes Top Honors at CEC 3-Minute Thesis Competition
The ECE Department is proud to announce that PhD student Mauro Victorio has taken home First Place in the College of Engineering and Computing (CEC) 3-Minute Thesis (3MT) competition.
Mauro impressed the judges with his presentation, "Wearable FNIRS (Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy) System for Mental Activity Recognition," based on his doctoral research under the direction of Dr. Vladimir Pozdin.
The 3MT competition challenges students to explain their complex research to a general audience in just three minutes. Following this victory, Mauro will advance to the FIU-wide competition to represent our college.
Congratulations, Mauro, on this well-deserved win! We wish you the best of luck in the university finals.
